Layered Pea Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small head lettuce
1/2 c. thinly sliced green onion
1/2 c. sliced celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts
1 c. frozen peas, unthawed
1 1/4 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces; place in bottom of large salad bowl.
Layer remaining vegetables in order given.
Combine mayonnaise and sugar; spread over top, completely covering vegetables.
Sprinkle top with egg, bacon and cheese.
