Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans
    1 (15 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 small can sliced mushrooms
Preparation
    Brown sausage; drain.
    Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper until brown and onion is tender.
    Add garlic.
    Add remaining ingredients; simmer, uncovered, until thickened.
    Serve over hot, fluffy rice.
