Champion Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices day old bread, cubed
    2 c. cubed cooked chicken
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 slightly beaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Place half of bread in 8 x 8-inch or rectangular baking dish. Combine chicken, vegetables, mayonnaise and seasonings.
    Spoon over bread.
    Place remaining bread on top.
    Combine eggs and milk and pour over all.
    Cover and chill one hour or overnight in refrigerator.
    Spoon undiluted soup on top.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours.
    Sprinkle cheese on top for last few minutes of baking.
