Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix (Duncan Hines)
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    3/4 c. oleo
    1/2 c. evaporated milk (Carnation)
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix cake mix as instructed on box.
    Pour 1/2 of batter in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch sheet cake pan.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Melt caramels, oleo and evaporated milk in a double boiler.
    Pour over warm cake.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over cake.
    Pour remaining cake mix over top of chips and nuts. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Cool and serve with whipped cream.
