Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift together flour and salt.
    Mix soda and buttermilk.
    Add alternately the milk and flour to first mixture. Beat in vanilla; bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour (the original recipe says 1 hour and 20 minutes but that's too long in my oven).
