Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. applesauce
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 lb. pecans
1/4 lb. citron
1/8 oz. pineapple
1 lb. dates
1/4 lb. cherries
1 lb. raisins
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 tsp. soda
4 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
dash of salt
Preparation

Boil together for 5 minutes applesauce, sugar and shortening; cool.
Mix rest of dry ingredients and add to cooled applesauce mixture.
Bake 2 hours at 250\u00b0.
