10 large onions (optional)
6 to 8 green peppers
1 red hot pepper (optional)
4 stalks celery
4 tsp. garlic salt
6 bay leaves
4 Tbsp. olive oil
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. plus 2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
3 large cans tomato paste
