Yummy Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (11 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    6 medium potatoes, sliced thin
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. thin sliced onion (optional)
Preparation
    Combine cream of chicken soup and 1 cup cheese in saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring to prevent scorching.
    Add sour cream. Mix thoroughly.
    Place potatoes in casserole, one layer at a time, and top with the mixture 1/3 each time over the three layers.
    Cream mixture on top.
