Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    1/2 c. rice
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 large eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Heat milk in pan.
    Add salt and rice.
    Bring to a boil and cook 15 minutes.
    Add to boiling mixture 1/4 cup of the evaporated milk. Boil 5 minutes longer.
    Beat eggs and vanilla slightly.
    Add sugar and remaining evaporated milk to egg mixture.
    Add some of hot mixture to egg mixture and stir.
    Add this egg mixture to boiling rice, stirring until it thickens slightly.
    Pour into bowl; stir while cooling.
    Add raisins.
