Kalte Ente(Cold Duck) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. superfine sugar
    1 large lemon, thinly sliced and seeded
    1/2 c. orange liqueur
    1/2 gal. Rhine wine, chilled
    ice
    1 (12 oz.) bottle club soda, chilled
Preparation
    Sprinkle sugar over lemon slices.
    Press lemon slices with back of spoon to release flavor. Stir in orange liqueur.
    Chill. Stir in wine; pour over ice in punch bowl.
    Add club soda; stir lightly to blend.
    Makes 18 (4 1/2 ounce) servings.
