Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
4 Tbsp. molasses or sorghum
2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Cream shortening, add sugar and mix thoroughly.
Add egg and molasses; mix.
Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Chill dough.
Roll in small balls.
Roll in sugar.
Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0.
They crack open nicely.
