Pasta With Pink Vodka Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. penne pasta
    2/3 c. vodka
    3/4 c. heavy cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
    5 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
    1 (16 oz.) can plum tomatoes, chopped and drained
Preparation
    Cook pasta until al dente; drain.
    Melt butter over medium heat in saucepan.
    Add vodka and pepper flakes.
    Simmer for 2 minutes.
    Add heavy cream and tomatoes.
    Simmer 5 minutes longer. Sprinkle with salt.
    Combine pasta and sauce; toss gently.
    Stir in cheese.
    Serve immediately.
