Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cakes compressed yeast
1 c. lukewarm water
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
2 eggs, beaten
8 c. flour (not sifted)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in luke-warm water.
Mix salt, sugar, shortening and boiling water.
Add cold water, eggs and yeast.
Stir in flour. Mix until all flour disappears.
Do not knead.
Grease top and cover tightly.
Put in refrigerator.
When wanted, make into rolls and let rise in warm place about 2 hours.
Bake at 400\u00b0 or 425\u00b0 about 15 minutes, depending on oven.
