Apple Mystery - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sifted flour
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of cinnamon and mace
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. chopped apples (about 2 to 3 small)
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Mix and sift first 6 ingredients.
Stir in unbeaten eggs and vanilla. Fold in apples and walnuts.
Turn into well greased 9-inch pie plate.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes until brown and crusty.
Serve warm or cold with topping or ice cream.
