Harry Truman Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    4 green onions, chopped
    4 strips bacon
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. sour cream
Preparation
    Break lettuce into large bowl, add green onions.
    Fry bacon, drain and crumble.
    Pour off drippings from skillet.
    Combine rest of ingredients, beat well.
    Add bacon and pour all into skillet.
    Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    Cool.
    Pour over lettuce in bowl; toss.
    Serves 4 to 6.
