Georgia Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

1 c. dark Karo syrup
1/2 c. butter
1 c. whole or chopped pecans
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 ready to bake pie shell
Preparation

Beat eggs until foamy.
Add sugar, syrup, melted butter and vanilla; beat until mixture thickens.
Add nuts and pour into a pie shell.
Bake for 10 minutes at 450\u00b0, then reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and bake until filling is firm (approximately 35 to 40 minutes).
