Simply Elegant Steak And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak or venison
    1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 large onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices and separated into rings
    1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained (reserve liquid)
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    3 c. cooked rice
Preparation
    Cut steak or venison into thin strips.
    Brown meat in a large skillet in oil, using high heat.
    Add onions and saute until tender and crisp.
    Blend in soup and liquid from mushrooms.
    Add garlic salt and pour over steak.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until steak is tender or cover and bake at 350\u00b0 until tender.
    Serve over rice.
    Makes 6 servings.
