Georgia Peach Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. lemon rind
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. peach slices
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
Add lemon rind; beat.
Add eggs.
Mix next 3 dry ingredients and add to batter a little at a time.
Pour half of batter into greased 9 x 9-inch square pan. Place drained peach slices over batter.
Add remaining batter to cover peaches.
Combine remaining ingredients and pour over peaches.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
Cut in squares and serve with whipped cream.
