Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
2 Tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cold water
6 to 7 c. flour
Preparation

Mix yeast in warm water.
Set aside.
To the boiling water, add oatmeal, shortening, brown sugar, molasses and salt and mix. Add cold water.
When mixture is cooled to lukewarm, add yeast mixture.
Mix in flour.
Knead on floured board.
Set to rise in warm place until double in bulk (1 hour).
Punch down; shape into loaves and let rise again.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 50 to 60 minutes.
