Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. medium carrots
1/4 tsp. salt
boiling water
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 thin slices lemon
Preparation

Wash carrots; pare.
Place in large saucepan with salt and enough boiling water to cover.
Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes, or until tender.
Drain.
Melt butter in large skillet.
Stir in sugar.
Add lemon slices and carrots; cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until carrots are glazed.
Makes 6 servings.
