Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    20 oz. can crushed pineapple
    1 c. sugar
    3 oz. French vanilla instant pudding
    1 c. shredded coconut
    8 oz. whipped cream or Cool Whip
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Prepare cake as directed and bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Meanwhile, simmer pineapple and sugar.
    Remove baked cake from oven and, with a fork, poke holes all over cake.
    Cover with pineapple mixture and chill.
    Prepare pudding as directed and stir in coconut.
    Spread over cake.
    Cover with whipped topping and sprinkle with nuts.
