Aunt Mamie'S Tomato Relish(Good To Put On Vegetables) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 ripe tomatoes
    4 c. vinegar (red vinegar, White Oaks Brand best)
    4 hot peppers or 6 small
    6 onions
    1/4 c. sugar to 1/2 c. to taste (varies with vinegar)
    1/4 c. salt
    2 heaping tsp. each of mustard, cinnamon and ginger
Preparation
    In a cloth, put 2 heaping teaspoons of mustard (ground), cinnamon and ginger.
    Tie up cloth.
    Scald tomatoes and peel.
    Cut up and mix all ingredients.
    Cook until thick (use rubber gloves when cutting up hot peppers).
    Cook about 3 hours until thick. Makes about 5 or 6 pints.
